Our after school program offers extra-curricular activities, at the home like environment of Unionville Centre of Learning.

Our unique Chinese program is designed to be enjoyable for English speaking students with limited previous Mandarin exposure.  Through hands-on experience, students rehearse their conversation skills with real life interactive exercises.  Your child(ren) would be baking a cake; making a flower arrangement; or building woodwork, and learning Mandarin all at the same time.  Our program focuses on useful everyday conversational Chinese and an introduction to both traditional and simplified Chinese characters using Hanyu Pinyin.  Real world tools, both manual and electronic, will be employed such as English-Chinese/Chinese-Chinese dictionaries, IQ Chinese learning software, and Microsoft IME.  These tools provide students with self learning opportunities and in many cases cultivate a higher learning dynamic.  Each month, a special event is planned to introduce Chinese culture (arts, calligraphy, sculpturing, wood carving), heritage (artifacts and celebrations), and etiquette.  The curriculum is taught by fully fluent bilingual teachers.

Our Math Challenge curriculum is designed by professional engineers to develop your children's problem solving techniques and thinking process.  Worksheets will be assigned according to each student's grade and level.  A teaching assistant will review and provide guidance to improve their mathematical skill development.  Most importantly, your child(ren) will learn that there are many ways to approach a problem, and different methods can be used to conclude the same answer.  All live forms and phenomenon can be interpreted by numbers and it is logic that drives the universe.

We continue to offer private lessons in Piano and Vocal, and group music theory lessons.  Whether your child is on beginner's or intermeiate level, with the introduction of music theory and accompanied with singing, he/she will learn to enjoy music and proficient solid finger techniques to play their favourite tunes.

For children ages 7 and up only.  Bring out the inventor in your child!  Inspire their technological aptitude!

The Science & Robotics Club uses real life examples to illustrate the laws of science.  Build a robot to demonstrate simple machines, laws of motion, mechatronics, and object oriented programming.  Mentored by Professional Engineers who have a passion for cultivating young future engineers and scientists, the weekly curriculum touches the theories of Design Concepts, Mechatronics, Magnetic Force & Energy Generation, Electronic Packaging, Testing and Programming.  Age appropriate hands on exercises will be implemented throughout the program.  Due to the complicity and intellectual demand of the program, participants must demonstrate certain technological aptitude to attend.
